The Best Weird Gadgets

Sometimes the world of technology brings us mind-blowing products to forever change our lives. And sometimes--well, sometimes technology comes up with a product so weird we just can't look away. Here's a mere sampling of the strangest gadgets available right now. But just a reminder: we're not responsible if you use these products in public and look like a person from outer space.

After a long day of work, everyone just wants to sit in their favorite recliner and relax. Of course, you could play video games or watch TV, but neither of those activities allow you to look like a discarded cyborg from an episode of Dr. Who. Thankfully, the iDream3S comes to the rescue.

This headset includes six eye and head massage functions, including "air pressure" and freaking magnets. The visor is see-through, so you'll still have the option to sit in a local park and scare children while talking about the impending singularity.

Mowing the grass is boring and lame. Think of all the ways your time could be put to better use, like playing video games or staring blankly at paint drying. Thankfully, the team at Friendly Robotics have designed the RoboMow cordless electronic lawn mower to take care of the yard for you.

Capable of mowing 10,800 square feet in a single charge, the RoboMow includes a sensor to make sure the neighbor's cat doesn't turn into compost. Note: the RoboMow is "not for sale in Catalina Island," because those people realize the robots will eventually overthrow mankind and force us to graze like goats.

The Executioner Bug Zapper

Now that you have freed up all that time by letting a robot mow the grass, you can pursue more important hobbies, like swatting bugs with an electrified badminton racket. The Executioner includes two replaceable alkaline batteries, and as you swat through the air at some pesky fly, the tiny insect is obliterated.

As a side note, you might want to keep the Executioner in a different spot than your regular rackets--or don't, and have the best Fourth of July memories ever.

The makers of crazy gadgets seem to have an obsession with turning everyone into a cyborg, and honestly, don't we all want to be cyborgs anyway? The MindWave Mobile is the latest release from NeuroSky, and promises to let you interact with iOS games while monitoring your brainwaves.

The bundles games will allow you to control the action by simply focusing hard, or meditating. If you train hard enough, maybe you can control The Force and choke people with your brain (not an advertised feature).

Clocky and Tocky Alarm Clocks

Getting up in the morning is awful, and hopefully technology will one day find a way to let us sleep forever in pods while clones go to work for us. But until that day arrives, we'll have to keep slapping dumb alarm clocks every morning. The Clocky and Tocky clocks, however, are guaranteed to get your sleepy butt up.

Clocky rolls around on wheels until you catch him, and Tocky just rolls around randomly on the floor like some Adventure Time abomination of sleep-killing. You could always tie an alarm clock to your cat, instead.
