Bad manners, travel delays and dodgy gadgets annoy us most

If there is one thing we hate here in Britain it's bad manners.

Rude people have topped the list of our biggest frustrations in a new survey, with faulty gadgets and travel delays coming close behind.

Three-quarters of us also get grumpy if we have had a bad night's sleep or feel unwell.

A disagreement with family or friends completes the list of typical annoyances, the research by Arthritis Research UK showed.

It carried out the poll to show how such temporary bugbears are eclipsed by the challenge of completing simple tasks while suffering joint pain.

The charity's medical director, Prof Alan Silman, said: 'One in six people in Britain is living with the daily, invisible pain of arthritis.'
